Move to Dazr Mail in an afternoon

Bring your old mail, your contacts and your calendar, and keep your own address. Here is how, step by step.

Four steps

Do them in this order and nothing gets lost.

  1. Sign in with your Dazr account and pick an address on @dazrmail.eu, @dazrmail.com, @coldregards.eu or @coldregards.com. It works right away.
  2. Export your mail from your old provider and import the files in Settings, under Move to Dazr Mail. Each import goes into a folder of its own.
  3. Import contacts as a CSV or vCard file into Dazr Contacts, and your calendar as an .ics file into Dazr Calendar, from the same screen.
  4. Using your own domain? Add the three records Dazr Mail shows you at the company where you bought it. Dazr Mail checks them and tells you when mail arrives.

From Gmail

Google Takeout exports your mail as .mbox, your contacts as vCard and your calendar as .ics. Import each file in Dazr Mail.

From Outlook

Save messages as .eml files, export your contacts as a CSV file and your calendar as .ics. Dazr reads the Outlook formats, including Windows time zones.

From any other provider

Most providers export .mbox or .eml files. If yours doesn’t, connect your old account to a desktop mail app and save the folders from there.

Your phone and computer

Keep using the mail app you like: add your Dazr Mail address with IMAP and SMTP and an app password from Settings.

What you keep

  • Imported mail keeps its dates, senders and conversations, and is searchable straight away.
  • Invitations from Outlook and Google keep working: accept them in Dazr Mail and the meeting is in Dazr Calendar.
  • Everyone in your imported contacts never knocks, from the first day.

How long does an import take?

A few minutes for a few thousand messages. You can keep working while it runs.

Does imported mail count towards my storage?

Yes. Your mailbox shares the storage of your Dazr plan: 1 GB on Free, 100 GB on Personal, more on Pro and Enterprise.

Can I keep my old address for a while?

Yes. Set your old account to forward to your Dazr Mail address while people get used to the new one.

What do I need for my own domain?

A domain you own and access to its DNS settings, and the Personal, Pro or Enterprise plan.
